Guideposts Refines Focus, Sales Strategy

Guideposts (guideposts.org), the non-profit organization and a leading provider of inspirational content and services, announced that it has promoted Lenore Person to Vice President and Editorial Director of Guideposts Books and Inspirational Media.

Ms. Person joined Guideposts in 1988 as an associate editor in the Book division, and was promoted to positions of increased responsibility over the next several years. During her tenure, she developed Someone Cares, Guideposts’ greeting card continuity, which has continued to ship for over twenty years, and has spearheaded music products and other new areas within the company.

“Lenore’s enthusiasm and creativity is instrumental to the continued growth of our Direct-to-Consumer programs,” commented Guideposts’ CEO John F. Temple.  “Lenore has a keen sense of our customers’ preferences and has been able to focus those insights into many successful products and programs over the years. Her longstanding relationships with the major Christian publishing houses and her knowledge of the products and services within the marketplace will be very beneficial as we move forward.”

“Our Direct-to-Consumer program is a mainstay for the organization,” continued Temple. “We will continue to create products to meet our consumers’ needs while making the most popular products available in multiple channels.  Our successful devotional Daily Guideposts will continue to be available in trade as will a number of select titles in our devotional and fiction series.”

No paywalls here. Thanks to you.
As an independent nonprofit, RNS believes everyone should have access to coverage of religion that is fair, thoughtful and inclusive. That's why you will never hit a paywall on our site; you can read all the stories and columns you want, free of charge (and we hope you read a lot of them!)

But, of course, producing this journalism carries a high cost, to support the reporters, editors, columnists, and the behind-the-scenes staff that keep this site up and running. That's why we ask that if you can, you consider becoming one of our donors. Any amount helps, and because we're a nonprofit, all of it goes to support our mission: To produce thoughtful, factual coverage of religion that helps you better understand the world. Thank you for reading and supporting RNS.
