Kosher giraffe. No kidding. Well, maybe on the Whole Foods part.
Several reports, including Heeb and Jewcy, are reporting that the long-legged animal is now certifiably kosher since (as Jewcy puts it) “giraffes have cloven hooves and chew their cud.”
The best comment I’ve seen comes from Jeffrey Goldberg over at The Atlantic: “This must come as a huge relief to the vast Jewish population of the Serengeti.”
