    I have mixed feelings about these results.
    On the positive side, this looks promising as a recognition of equal rights for all citizens of our society, at least insofar as military service is concerned.
    What I find shocking about the results is that the more devout Christians are still apparently fully supportive of their membership serving in the military. That seems to me to be a repudiation of the pacifist position of Jesus, Paul, and the entire range of early Christian churches. It wasn’t until the 4th century CE that Emperor Constantine so currupted the church that military service was even conceivable for a Christian.
