KING’S FAITH Film to Host Benefit Screenings in May to Honor National Foster Care Month

(Rochester, NY) Coming off strong first week box office success, the producers of the teen inspirational drama KING’S FAITH announced plans to host national event screenings to benefit foster care families.

Through Tugg (http://www.tugg.com/titles/kings-faith), a theatrical platform that allows audiences and groups to bring movies to their local theater and create their own screening events, KING’S FAITH will work with youth groups, churches, leaders, and organizations to create more than 40 national screenings in May which is recognized as National Foster Care Month.

KING’S FAITH is partnering with Bethany Christian Services on their N.O.W. Campaign, an initiative to raise awareness and move people to act on behalf of those in foster care. More than 400,000 kids are in foster care, with 26,000 age out of the system each year.

“KING’S FAITH is about second chances, especially for those that many have overlooked,” said director Nicholas DiBella.  “During National Foster Care Month we want to tell the story of these amazing families and kids.”

Audiences will have the option of contributing funds to Bethany Christian Services when purchasing tickets. In addition, groups can organize their own screening to benefit foster care families or organizations in their communities.

Details for ticketing and organizing screenings can be found at www.kingsfaith.com/fostercare/

KING’S FAITH tells the story of a foster couple who cares for Brendan King (Crawford Wilson), an 18-year old attempting to leave his turbulent gang life behind him, but his past continues to threaten his new-found faith, family, and future.

The film is produced by DiBella and Faith Street Film Partners LLC, a Rochester, NY-based collective of filmmakers, churches, investors, and supporters. The official website is www.kingsfaith.com

KING’S FAITH stars Emmy Award winning actress Lynn Whitfield (The Josephine Baker Story), Crawford Wilson, Kayla Compton, and James McDaniel (Malcolm X).
