Latino Converts to Islam – As Muslims around the world prepare to end their month-long Ramadan fasting, Managing Editor Kim Lawton looks at one of the fastest-growing segments of the American Islamic community:  Latino converts. Experts say there may be as many as 250,000 Hispanic Muslims in the US.  Lawton looks at the reasons why Latinos are converting and the challenges they face from both inside and outside the Muslim community.

Folksinger Carrie Newcomer – The Indiana singer-songwriter is also a poet, essayist and playwright, a Quaker who sees the sacred in everything.  Correspondent Judy Valente reports that Newcomer has toured the world with her messages of sacramental living, social justice and peace, affirming the “connectedness” of all people.
