Edison, New Jersey -Hindu Students Council (HSC), the largest Hindu youth organization in North America, will host the Global Dharma Conference 2015 from September 11th to September 13th, in Edison, New Jersey, to commemorate its 25th Year Anniversary.

Announcing this here today, Nikunj Trivedi, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, said, “The Conference aims to explore and understand the multifaceted applications of Dharma for the Self as well as for the Society and the World, whether through Yoga or the invaluable teachings of Vedas and Vedanta.” The Conference will feature a variety of events that focus on the universality of Dharma and its relevance to modern living, going beyond just religion.

An earlier edition of the Global Dharma Conference in 2003 featured international luminaries such as former President of India Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam, former New Jersey Governor James McGreevey, His Holiness Pramukh Swami Maharaj, His Holiness Shankaracharya of Kanchi Peetham, His Holiness Swami Dayananda Saraswati, Nobel Prize nominee Dr George Sudarshan, Dr. Deepak Chopra, Dr. David Frawley, actress Goldie Hawn, Tabla Maestro Ustad Zakir Hussain and many other prominent personalities. It was attended by over 2000 people, from around 20 countries and students from over 70 universities around the world. The event was also supported by over 50 different local and global organizations, including Arsha Vidya Gurukulam, Bochasanwasi Shree Akshar Purushottam Swaminarayan Sanstha (BAPS), Art of Living, Chinmaya Mission, Ramakrishna Mission, Sikh Sangat, World Buddhist Association, and World Council of Elders of the Ancient Traditions and Cultures. This year’s conference will also feature a distinguished panel of renowned spiritual, political and business leaders and will provide students and youth a vibrant platform to explore the applications of Dharma. Various workshops and performances will also form part of the conference.


“With a theme of ‘Reconnect, Rejuvenate and Realize’, Global Dharma Conference 2015 will build upon the success of the first conference and will feature several prominent dignitaries, speakers, celebrity guests and artists from around the world,” Mr. Trivedi added.

The conference will be held at the New Jersey Convention and Exposition Center at Edison, New Jersey. As part of its conference initiatives, the Hindu Students Council will also host a fundraiser banquet at Royal Albert’s Palace, 1050 King Georges Post Road, Fords, NJ 08863, between 6:30 PM and 9:30 PM.                   ..
