Excerpts From Song of Solomon, the Bible’s Sexiest Book

c. 2006 Religion News Service

(UNDATED) Here are some excerpts from the Bible’s Song of Solomon:

“O that you would kiss me with the kisses of your mouth! For your love is better than wine.”

_ Chapter 1, verse 2

“My beloved is mine and I am his.”

_ Chapter 2, verse 16

“How fair and pleasant you are, O loved one, delectable maiden! You are stately as a palm tree and your breasts are like its clusters. I say I will climb the palm tree and lay hold of its branches. Oh, may your breasts be like clusters of the vine, and the scent of your breath like apples, and your kisses like the best wine that goes down smoothly, gliding over lips and teeth.”

_ Chapter 7, verses 6-9

“I am my beloved’s, and his desire is for me. Come my beloved, let us go forth into the fields, and lodge in the villages; let us go out early to the vineyards. … There I will give you my love.”

_ Chapter 7, verses 10-12

“If I met you outside, I would kiss you, and none would despise me.”

_ Chapter 8, verse 2
