Most houses in Gomier lost roofs in the coastal town. Samaritan’s Purse was the first organization to reach the area with aid. Gomier Mayor Charles Francois Fils said he was unsure how many people died in the community, but he thought the majority of losses were in the form of homes and infrastructure. RNS photo by Kit Doyle
