Ignatius Press launches local screening program for ‘Restless Heart’

SAN FRANCISCO, June 25, 2013 –  RESTLESS HEART: The Confessions of Augustine, the first full-length feature film on beloved St. Augustine, was immensely successful over the last six months in theaters across the country, resulting in over 1000 screenings in over 200 cities in North America, with large crowds frequently attending each show. Ignatius Press, the North American distributor of the film, has now made the hit movie available for churches and schools, which can bring the inspiring film to their towns beginning immediately.

“Ignatius Press is truly honored and excited to bring the new epic film on the life of the great St. Augustine, RESTLESS HEART, to churches and schools everywhere in America,” said Ignatius Press Director of Marketing Tony Ryan. “The life of St. Augustine is a timeless, deeply inspiring conversion story of God’s mercy and love seeking out lost sinners. This powerful story is captured so beautifully in this major movie on Augustine, and after a very successful theatrical run, groups can now host their own screening events of this movie through our special local screening program. Showing this epic film in churches and schools can be a wonderful combination of an event that evangelizes, entertains, inspires and even raises money for a church or a cause. We hope that many groups across the country will take advantage of this unique opportunity.”

RESTLESS HEART is available for showing anywhere. Interested groups and individuals can work with local schools or churches to secure a screening, and Ignatius provides a copy of the DVD for screening purposes, plus, depending on the package, 25-100 DVDs to sell or distribute, and a complete promotional kit for an affordable fee.

There are three screening packages available: small (recommended for churches with 200 families or less), medium (recommended for churches with between 200 and 1,000 families) and large (recommended for churches with 2,000 families or more).

The only way to obtain a copy of the RESTLESS HEART DVD at this time is via the local screening program.

About the Film

RESTLESS HEART provides a historic backdrop and one of the Church’s most beloved and well-known saints – Augustine of Hippo – as its central character to tell a familiar story – as timely today as it was only a few generations after Jesus walked on Earth. It is the story of one who pursues fame and fortune without a moral compass – and the changes that occur when events lead him to see the light. It also chronicles the collapse of the Roman world and how Augustine laid the intellectual foundations of what became Europe.

Filmed in Europe, this major new epic film on the life of St. Augustine is the first full-length feature movie on the story of this incredible man.

RESTLESS HEART is directed by Christian Duguay (“Joan of Arc,” “Pius XII”). The $20 million project runs 127 minutes. The cast includes Allesandro Presiosi, Monica Guerritore, Johannes Brandrup, Serena Rossi and Franco Nero.
